Letting go off March

In less than 6 hours, it’s gonna be April. Two more months before the wrapping up of the semester and I’m still not done yet. I guess I’ve predicted my extension even before my final semester begins – I hope I only need another semester to wind up everything till the dot.

We both (me and Mr.T) have decided to drop our bomb this year; well its good news to his family only I doubt the decision is going to excite my family. They have no idea about this plan. Nothing is for rushing, in fact the whole process is going to take 2 years, as we planned.

I am not sure if we both are ready, so we still think it’s still too early to say though he has already notified his family about his intention. Yet, when it comes to commitment, we both are on the same boat and are ready to sail. I guess, nobody is quite so ready until the time really comes. I guess it was just my fear for stepping into another chapter of life. No matter what, it sure is something to hope for.

Most of my other friends are already in their working world, some even got their promotion and some even settled down with everything. I am still daydreaming of what I will become in the future. Will I be wearing a suit to work or a lab coat instead? Or maybe a coverall. Well, tell me about it.

Lab has been no fun at all. It was a drag for me, and still is. Instead of being at the top of the world, I am still adjusting myself. It has never been my comfort zone except for my ‘8 metre square’ room and my 1.3 sunshine saga. Everything else has been a total foreign for me, even my dining table, or the couch in the living room or even that 1-million-3-storeys-luxurious-Desa-house (with its damn pricey extravagance). I have alienated myself and it’s nobody’s fault.

Kane is having her practical on the east while Jimmy is finishing mid April, expecting to go back to the east right after – what is left for me to hold on while I pull myself to the finishing line? Fear. Depression. Self-isolation.

Thinking of all this, I need a glass of wine to unwind.

The Rosary Girls

There you go, I finished another book.

The rosary Girls - Richard Montanari

'Only a killer hears their prayers'

nerve-racking, huh?!

Retiring myself from romantic love story novels, I have switched my interest into thrillers like this one here.

I’ve been eyeing this book for few days before Mr.T bought it for me. It was funny that I found this book on Easter week.

Well, to reassure you that this book gonna hook you till the end, I would rate this book 9 out of 10. The ‘minus one’ is for the parts which are a bit draggy but you shouldn’t miss any of the chapters because the small details are the important ones because they are the quilts of the mystery beneath.

Just by the title, I think you can tell that the thrill is about the killing of the girls with rosary in their hands at times of death. Easter is approaching and the rosary needs to be finished. Alas, few girls will be sacrificed for the coming resurrection. The mystery unwrapped itself with brilliant complex of the stories and for the last few chapters I can guarantee that you won’t stop digging on it until the last page.

Praise for The Rosary Girls

“Readers of this terrifying page-turner are in the hands of a master storyteller. Be prepared to stay up all night.” - James Ellroy

“A relentlessly suspenseful, soul-chilling thriller that hooks you instantly.”
-Tess Gerritsen

“Strap on your Kevlar vest; you’re gonna need it. The Rosary Girls is a hook-you-from-the-start read with one of the most original villains in years. Clues are as abundant as a broken rosary, but you’ll still never guess the killer until it’s too late.” - The Clarion-Ledger

“This is a no-holds-barred thriller with driving prose that thrusts the reader into the black soul of the killer . . . those with a taste for Thomas Harris will look forward to the sure-to-follow sequel.” - Library Journal

The need for changes..

8th of March was a big day for Malaysia as the people had officially voiced out for changes in the government. A lot are still trying to recover from the shocking waves, especially those who are into the winning but lost the battle. For personal opinion, I don’t know which side to vote for as what I want is the equal rights for everybody regardless of races, religions, professions, gender and ethnicity. Special privileges should be given to those who really deserve for the hard work they have done, just like what Singapore did, and look at how they have came up.

Thanks to Sabah and Sarawak that BN is still leading in the amount of seats won. I am not trying to involve myself in these political dilemmas, but as a Malaysian, I think I still have the right to voice out my opinion, though I am far from calling myself a political expert.

Politic leaders urged the nation not to listen to bloggers, but why? Because they are voicing out their anger and everything that was written are basically craps? Or maybe they are telling the truth about our society and the government? Hey, I hope this is not V for Vendetta guys. Whatever it is, I still vote for world peace and equal rights, does not matter whoever is the ruling government.

Maybe the government should plan well so oil subsidiary is possible without increasing the oil price again, or maybe some tax decrease on the monthly pay, I don’t know, just do something to make the people happy. People want to see changes and this would certainly be a good time to show some changes and the good outcomes from any transformation.
